Offerat ("we", "us") helps people find local offers across the Greater Toronto Area. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Account information. If you sign up as a business owner, we collect your email and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase) plus any business details you submit — name, address, phone, email, website, social links, logo, and the offers you post.
Contact form and reports. If you message us via the Contact page or report a problem with an offer, we collect what you submit (name, email, message, or report reason/details) so we can follow up.
Photos. Business owners can upload a logo and offer images, either from their photo library or by taking a new photo with their camera. We only receive the images they choose to upload, which are shown publicly on their listing. We don't access your camera or photo library in the background.
Location. If you use "Near me", your browser asks permission to share your location. We use those coordinates only to sort and show distances for that request — we don't store your location.
Browsing the site to look at offers doesn't require an account or any personal information.
To run the marketplace: showing offers, letting business owners manage their listings, responding to messages and reports, and keeping the platform working correctly. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
We rely on a few outside services to run Offerat: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), and OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (maps and turning a business address into map coordinates). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
We keep account and business data as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account or business data deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it.
Offerat isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
